WEEKEND WISHLIST

1 2 3 4 5

This week has definitely been the founder of my Christmas spirit. I've been baking, ordering festive dvd's, visiting Meadow Hall's shopping centre (a girl's dream) gorging on Starbucks' winter drinks, late night walks with my pup and looking forward to the opening of my town's Frankfurt market which for me will officially mark that Christmas has arrived!

I think this week's weekend wishlist reflects my idea of winter warmers. Since the November chills have kicked in all I've wanted to wear is turtle necks and cable knit jumpers. I can't believe this long sleeved turtle neck polo is only £4.95! If you've got the patience to look through eBay searches thoroughly then finding alternatives to high street products at a fraction of the price makes it definitely worth while.

I love these moccasin style boots with the fringe detailing. I don't think I own a pair of brown shoes so can that justify the £80 price tag?

Lord of the Rings, you either love it or hate it and I'm definitely a lover. I guess this means I've got until the 14th December to take the plunge and read the book!

Hope you had a good weekend!

WEEKEND WISHLIST: SKIRT EDITION

1 2 3 4 5 6

Ok so you're probably wondering why my weekend wishlist has turned into a haul of skirts. Well, this week more than ever I've been skirt-obsessed. Each website, each store I can guarantee holds a skirt I wanna get my hands on.

I find that quite a lot of people seem to have this mindset that as soon as Autumn/Winter dawns we have to put our skirts to the back of the draw, but girls I refuse! (yes nana, I'm talking to you.)

I swear by tube skirts at the moment to the point where they are making a feature in the majority of my outfits. They're simple, elegant and need I mention the comfort element! I wore one out the other day with two pairs of leggings layered underneath (don't judge) and no-one had a clue.

Next is this denim number from Monki, this skirt needs to make an appearance in my life asap. I'm thinking, tights, converse and a blazer coat with a fur collar?

Glitter skirts are so damn cute, especially for the upcoming Christmas period. They're so easy to style from day to night and perfect for sprousing up a bland outfit.

Leather, hey. I have this mind-set of pleather skirts being quite seductive but I'm gonna put that aside for a moment. If you were in my head right now, you'd be seeing this baby I've chosen here, again from Monki paired with a plain top, chunky knit cardigan and a pretty huge snood. Now, I think that sounds pretty good. Don't you?

Lastly is my most darish pick I think, I've seen so many girls wearing these types of skirts and they look absolutely amazing. Whether or not that could transfer, I don't know but I thought I'd add it in anyway.

So, that's my mixed up weekend wishlist for our first week into November and only 7 more to go until Christmas!!
Hope you enjoyed guys!

HARPER & LEWIS VINTAGE FT ENGLISH ROSE

Leather Jacket- Topshop / Fur Collar- H&M / Contrasted Shirt- H&M / Leggings- Matalan / Flats- Topshop / Bag- eBay

I know I'm pale but the realisation this photograph gives me makes me want to have a little sob (English rose, for life). Today has been cold and it definitely gave me a heads-up to start taking my mittens out with me! Me and my boyfriend went into town to do some shopping, I'd been pestering him all week about visiting a new pop up style shop called Harper & Lewis Vintage, you can find out more here. If you live locally and fancy giving it a go, head down to New Street, Birmingham with a fiver, pick up a bag and fill it to your hearts content! You can see some of my thrifted finds over on my Instagram: llrfx.

Have a good weekend!

WEEKEND WISHLIST

1 2 3 4

Uh, put your thinking caps on and just envisage how gorgeous this outfit would look together... I know right.

I actually had a crazy thought myself that figured there was a lot more to my wishlist than fashion this week and that very thought most definitely included Matt Corby. So much so that he made it to my song pick of the week of which you can find by pressing hard on your down arrow or scrolling down, whichever you prefer. If you knew what I was listening to now, (Robbie Williams) then you probably wouldn't expect me to like him, but! he won me over more than a lot by covering one of my favourite songs by a band you should all already know, The Black Keys.

Back to reality as I cannot afford to be lusting over men with excessive amounts of hair so these boots are definitely the next best. They've got contrasted leather, a silver hardware zip, a not so high heel and are priced at a measley £24.99!

I'm pretty impressed with this weekend wishlist and so the next step is challenging myself to resist spending money on unnecessary goods (fast food) and go buy these instead.

What's on your weekend wishlist?

WEEKEND WISHLIST

1 2 3 4 5 6
The autumn/winter collections are finally creeping their way into stores and as you may notice I will be making the most of it, especially where faux leather and fur is involved anyway. I find that my style has discarded trainers from making an appearance in my outfits, with the odd exception of my converse of course. From this, you might be wondering why I have decided to feature a pair of these suede hidden wedge sneakers and I honestly wish I had a legit answer for it. I guess that after seeing Millie Mackintosh wearing them, I found myself wanting them more than I should.
A few posts back (here) I spoke about a website called fashiolista and whilst browsing came across this gorgeous chanel bag now, regardless of the fact I am a poor student and will most probably never be fortunate/rich enough to own a bag as nice as this one, I figured I'd add it in anyway. Why not right? a girl can dream.

SET YOUR ARMS DOWN

Shirt- H&M
Skirt- Monki
Hat- H&M

So, this is what I'm wearing today! I've got to pop into town to post some items and then I think I'll see to my coffee craving. I'm afraid I'll have to give myself some encouragement to not get tempted by shopping as I'm on a spending ban as of now! It probably won't last but hey, it's worth a try. As my bedroom has had a huge makeover, it's actually left me with space to photograph! The sun coming in and out did make the photo's vary in exposure which meant fiddling around with the curtains on various different occasions, I'll get there eventually though. This look is also featured on my lookbook if you're interested. X
